I need a antenna base that screws into an NMO mount that a small diameter whip or rod could go into with a setscrew for adjustment. Basically a simple, tunable antenna without the whip that can be made into anything for me to try out a couple of homebrew projects. Only thing is, it has to be cheaper than buying an actual antenna. Anybody know of something like this thats out there?

maybe there is a cheap nmo base I could get from a commercial antenna, like a 1/4 wave UHF whip. All I need is the base that holes the whip.

The links above have what you are looking for but the price is what it is. Your best bet for something cheap is to pick up a used antenna with an NMO base at a ham fest.

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
