You are waiting for one particular station — a rare country, an
expedition, a friend. It may come up at any hour, on any band, in any
mode, and be audible for only a few minutes. Watching for it means
keeping spotting pages open all day.
Instead, enter the callsign and tick the bands and modes you care about.
From then on the app checks five services every minute and alerts you the
moment that callsign is reported on the air, showing the frequency, band,
mode, the station that heard it, and which service it came from.
WHAT IT WATCHES
DXScape, DXSummit, DXHeat — cluster spots entered by operators
Reverse Beacon Network — CW and RTTY skimmers, with signal strength
and keying speed
PSK Reporter — automatic receiver reports over the live MQTT feed
The PSK Reporter feed matters more than it sounds. A cluster spot needs
somebody to type it. An FT8 station can be audible across three
continents and never appear on a cluster at all — but the receivers
report it automatically, and those reports reach you within seconds.
HOW THE ALERTS BEHAVE
Band and mode are kept apart. 20m CW and 40m SSB never mix, and CW
means real CW, not a band-plan guess.
One appearance, one alert. Fifteen receivers reporting the same
station on the same band and mode is a single notification listing
every source that saw it.
Repeat interval is yours: every new spot, or at most once every 1, 5,
10, 30 or 60 minutes for the same callsign, band and mode.
