maco 3element or v quad

Opinions on both wrote about this in a earlier thread in the wrong forum any thoughts thanks 73's

. this antenna was fine for dx
but for local chatting i dont think it would good.
the 103 i would choose before a v quad any day. now if room is a issue
then look into the y quad by maco it has both verticle and flat and i think its same
size as the v quad . made better imho.. local here had a v quad didnt like it for local
chatting .his a99 did just as good. but for dx he outclassed us all ..lol

Im runnin an imax 2000 for locals I just was wandering whick would be better for dx space is a problem the 103 is as big as I can go so its going up on 3 inch water pipe mounted to side of the house with a small rotor so just need to figure out the best choice for dxing and btw my landlord is 87 and she doesn't like my 80 ft tower and flat 7's so for now gotta be small hey lady its just a TV antenna haha

the v quad will be great for dx. also maco and sirio make a dipole that u can
mount horizonally just below your imax. probaly not quite as good as the vquad
