What model of the amp is it?
Is it a 450 or ??? or what?
Probably a low-drive amp - as a guess. Which means that turning the RF output on that radio all of the way down when using the amp might be too much power still. Many dual-final radios are just too hot for any low-drive amp. Now, if it is high-drive amp - you would be OK...
