Magnum Delatforce ssb question.

I just wanted to know what your thoughts were on this radio when it come to side band. Thanks!

They rock on AM or SSB. I ran my Delta side by side with a Justin tuned S3 and a Bobs tuned S9. The Delta blew the gutted S3 away ( top gun and speech processor yanked out). Against the S9 the on air reports were dead even, the S9 did do 10 more watts peak then the Delta. I was told the SSB was as good as 2950's that were on the air at the time.

get better xmit reports on my original-version delta force then on my S9, on SSB. AM tends to lean towards S9, but the delta is awful close. on rcv, the S9 is a bit quiter, white noise-wise, but at times i think my delta hears a bit better on SSB. on AM, i think the S9 hears a bit better. all in all, too close to call, EXCEPT white noise on delta's cpu-controlled/different chassis ground style, makes me prefer to listen to my S9........ :?

Yup, thats about the only flaw in the Delta Force, the receive is noisey.
