Magnum s-680 mod needed

HI all,

I recently acquired a magnum s-680 for my work truck. Its a great radio but I need to make a mod to it.

I would like to hard wire the AM portion of the mode switch, freeing it up to be used for a channel 19 priority switch. I need to switch the receive and transmit--just like what is on many cb's.

My quiestion is: does anyone have an idea on a workable mod for this?

Not going to be easy.. you would have to reprogram the MCU and tell a pin to do that in the code of the chip. It is not something most people could, or even know how to do.
