Can somone point me to the spot inside the radio to tweak the LSB and USB freqs of the Magnum S980.

Currently, as read on the radio's freq counter:
USB: it has to be -00.0003MHz to be on freq
LSB: it has to be +00.0002MHz to be on freq

Example:
USB 28.3547MHz = 28.3550MHz
LSB 27.4252MHz = 27.4250MHz

Do you know if the clarifier is un-locked? If so with Export radio's like that it is very common for them to drift a tad until the radio warms up. If you live in a winter weather area and are running the radio mobile it takes even longer to settle down. If the clarifier is un-locked you can correct the issue right there from the front of the radio.

The radio needs to be at those values constantly.
Even after the radio warms up...starts to drift...you have to correct it to those values.

I always forget if the term is unlocked or locked but the clarifier changes both TX & RX.

on am it will be on freq, usb and lsb or using the side porthons of the freq not the hole freq like am and fm,73 de JW late note, the cb radios will show the freq on because the capture freq is center slot, now the export/ham 10mtr radios show the exact freq os ssb...

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
