If I were to take a quad beam like a cubex and use relays to open and shut contacts on the bottom and side of the driven element do you think a person could make one work. I would think you would only need one run of coax to the radio also. Does this sound like a good idea or am I not thinking clear because of midnights?

Mr Clean,
Can it be done? Yes. Would it be worth the trouble of doing? I sort of doubt it. Why? Cuz it's cheaper to do it the way it's usually done now.
Another way would be to rotate the boom 90 degrees. There are complications in doing that, mainly that if you do it really cheaply, the ropes going to the levers are going to get tangled up some way... and, you'd have to walk out to the tower to do it, probably.
Just wanna do it that way? Sure, why not?

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
