Does changing the value of the internal resistor on the microphone line do anything to the audio? I have read that increasing it to 100 K over the stock 47K has some benefit

The one attached to the mike socket? Schematic shows this as R35.
It's there mostly to filter RF. Changing it won't have a big influence in audio quality.
