Mean well LRS-600-12

I have the 350 and it's the quietest one I own, no noise at all. I had a Chinese knock off that put out tons of hash so I got rid of it, but the mean well is quiet. I would bet the 600 would be just as quiet.

Before you buy a Meanwell, I suggest you read this thread:

Wow, I thought I had a mean well, but I have a mega watt. The label is misleading if you're not real close...

Sorry for the confusion, the mega watt 350 is very quiet and has lasted over 10 years with no issues when powering loads up to 30 amp (checking mobile amps).

I have seven MEGA-WATT S700-12 50 amp supplies. Six power my 600 watt linear, and one powers my Anytone 6666PRO transceiver. Absolutely bullet-proof and totally quiet. Five years with no problems. MEAN-WELL ????

I read one thread on here which lead me to mean well. Not sure which thread I found it on. I’ll try to find it. I think the Chinese knock offs are poor copies of the mean well supply. The link talks about this. I will try to find the thread I read it on.

Originally when @Moleculo posted the review showing the hash on the Chinese supply, they've been through a lot of changes at this point. Even the cheap ones usually don't throw any noise anymore, they figured out that they weren't working for us. The meanwell works fine for radio. I consider it the Cadillac of the Chinese supplies. Definitely better than the cheap cheap ones. The megawatt really are pretty fantastic though. I mean those are probably the best ones in our marketplace. I've overloaded them, I've stacked a bunch of them together, my buddy built a 1200 amp supply using megawatt supplies and that thing runs like a God damn champion.
