Mega Watt 350 33amp

I just bought this power supply to run my Cobra 148 and my RM Italy KL 203 simultaneously as a base station It seems to run them effortlessly. I don't have any equipment to check my voltage or my amps but I did notice on my smaller power supply when on side band whistling or pushing the radio to full modulation with this same set up my kl-203 would chatter pushing it to its fullest. With this Mega Watt 33amp when keying my 148 the meter light barely even gets dimmer most people can't see the difference. What do you think both these units draw maxed on side band draw amp wise?

That's the one selling on ebay for around 65$ shipped or so yes?

Online reviews seem to like it. Evidently switching power supplies have finally come of age.

Really the only complaint anyone seems to have is that they have a cheap look and feel to them.

Running wide open the amp and radio probably won't pull anywhere near 30 amps. 15 is probably closer to the max current draw for your setup.

Yes

It seems that it's cheap design if that is it at all is the way it looks. It appears more like it has been removed as an internal power supply which was not built to be seen. $55.00 total price brought to your door. It's not really built for installing & uninstalling and testing equipment often as there would soon be problems specifically in just that area. What I can say is that it is very quiet, no rf floating around and works effortlessly.

You should be fine, 3-4 amps max draw on the 148, and 12 amp draw max with the KL-203 and you can do the math.

i purchased one of these power supplies, and two thumbs up !!

Tried it on multiple radios and a few different amps.

Nothing negative to post. No noise introduced what so ever.

I have powered radios with zero issues to small amps with no problems.

I would recommend this power supply to anyone. In fact, I purchased a second one.

Cool thing with it, is that the voltage is adjustable. I forget the numbers, but something like 9.5 volts to 15.5 volts.

I ran a small 1446 amp @ 15 volts for a while with no concerns.
