Metal guy wires and dipoles

Hey all,
My single wire antenna is hung from my mast fairly close (within 1 foot)to the metal guy wires (they are isolated from ground) and is in an inverted V config.
My SWR at 10 meters is flat but I'm wondering if there's any parasitic losses happening. Also, do the support lines on the ends that stretch the antenna out have to be non metallic if they are isolated from ground and the antenna itself via insulators? I know all this is probably in my ARRL antenna book but Hey I like to hear myself type and like to ragchew.

Any losses associated with guy wires? Sure, some, but most times it isn't going to be much. Of course, the closer the proximity the more losses.
One thing to try is to make those guys into an antenna. Or a slower in three or four directions??

As for those lines from the ends of the antenna to the tie-off point, they can be either metal or not. If metal then it helps if they are not harmonically related lengths. Means another insulator in the right place in most cases.

As long as the guy wires are not resonant at 10 Meters there should be no problem or interaction. It's in your ARRL Antenna Book in the "Building Antenna Systems and Towers" section. There should be a highlighted page labeled "Resonance in Guy Wires" that shows the non-resonant lengths table for all bands from 0 to 28 MHz.
