Mic for a RCI-2950

I don't know if this makes any difference, but it's an older RCI-2950. Is there a preferred replacement mic for this rig or it is better to get another stock mic?

I've run an rk-56 for years on my dx series and I also have another with a modified d-104m6b which works well in quiet surroundings.

How's the gain on your radio? I ask because I'd prefer a noise cancelling mic and let the mic gain do the rest. Mine is almost always used on SSB.

i like the astatic575..a must for am and great also on ssb but keep it set low tone and volume..
