Doesn't fulfill your criteria exactly, but I use a Turner +3 on my Grant LT. I get nothing but, "crystal clear, perfect audio, etc etc." with that mic. The little power knob is touchy, though...turn it up too much and the audio goes "splat!"

Mic suggestions for a Uniden Grant XL

I plan on using it as a base. I like hand helds, non-power mics. My goal is pure clear natural sound.

Suggestion? Will be used for AM and SSB.

Tony - I bought this radio from Justin - it was one of his. Haha.

I ended up with a D104M6B and an ASTATIC 636.

I used the 636 on AM and the D104 on SSB. They really sound about the same according to my locals.

Thanks for the replies.

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
