I have a Midland 202M that has great receive but the transmit has failed. I see that someone has replaced the driver with a Motorola HEP-S3049 which is a ECG295. The original part was stuck inside the radio and it was a C2314. I also found that R318 was missing, and this I can see what clearly due to a burn up, so, I replaced the resistor, but, still no transmit, just a 4 watt key with back swing on audio. I ran it to the SWR/Mod/Power meter but no readings at all.
I have no meter swing on either TX or RX, however, I did get it to key about 4 watts and then it would swing backwards, which I know is not a big deal when your radio is overmoding, BUT... this unit is not TX'ing at all? So, does this sound like a bad final? Any help would be great.
Thanks!
