Midland 250CXL

RV-201 Audio or D203 limiter
Power L304/305/306/307

Best I could come up with Ben , The radio should be a Power Max ?

D203?......D205?

I don't seem to have either of these diodes on this board....??
(Mirrors and bright lights haven't helped....LOL)

I was told before to jump D205........
Do you have an general location for this D205...or...the D203??

L304 and L307 seem to be resistors or diodes?? Values unknown, so I don't know what to do with them.....?
L305 and L306 are coils.....I did spread them.

Thanks..........

IM sorry Ben , those numbers are for the older Midland 77-250 Power Max , the CXL is a newer model so IM guessing things could be very different . Nice looking radio , I just have no paper work on it. Good luck to you

I'm still looking.......

........I'm gonna start testing........L305/ L306 are resistors.

I'm gonna jump them and see if it blasts......?

I jumped R314/ R318/ R320.........the receive is now awesome!!
On the old 250, the R314 is where you put your swing kit and variable rf setup..........hmmm?.........maybe?

But.......the TX is still 1/2 watt dk/ swing 2 watts.....??

I need to locate the anti-spike cap and try a swing kit on a leg of it.

Again.......TX transformer has 2 of these,,,,,,,,?? LOL!
They both read the same on my meter......?.....but......one has a leg going to a small PLL board. Gonna try that one first.....

I have 3, so I'll test with one.........These radios are strong IF.....

(BTW.......I did replace the final.....!  )

Thanks.............we trying..........Ol'Ben

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
