Well i found a way to get the low channels with the pll02a.
1 mod gives 25.685-26.125
1 mod gives 26.325-26.765
1 mod gives 26.645-26.955 this is all u need for the lower channels
can also get the high channels ch 42 -104
so 1 switch for 42-60
1 sw to 60-104
1 sw for the low channels
3 switches altogether or 5 switches to get all the low bands but radio will never tune that low
AudioShockwav shared a link that talks about broadbanding the IF transformers a few posts back. Something like that will have to be done. And carefully IMO because too wide is a big problem.
Crystal 10.0525 x 4 = 40.21 mixer input
Ch19 VCO 2.33MHz
Difference makes 37.88
37.88 - 10.695 = 27.185 is the output.
But this can also happen...
40.21 - (2 x 2.33) = 35.55, and
35.55 - 10.695 = 24.855
So if you broadband the vco mixer enough to let 35.55MHz through, you could be transmitting on 24MHz when you think you are on ch19.
