Looks to be quarter wave size with the hats presumably lengthen the elements. Wonder if Marconi has plotted one like this?

Have specks for a 2 element cubical quad in quarter wave. But needs to have section of 75 Ohm coax at the feed point. There is some math needed, but you can tune impedance by adjusting element length and element spacing. Tedious. I went and bought the L2 cubical quad today.

We'll see. Just didn't want to spend time and about the same in money to build. The L2 is full wave 50 Ohm. The quarter wave I modeled/ spec'd out is doable but a real bitch to tune. Didn't have cap hats in mix. Not sure if those would work.

The one you pictured looked to be about 5 foot boom length, and elements to be quarter wave.

Did it state if it was full or quarter wave?

No..it did not state the antennas wave!
For Less $$$..I put up a 10 Meter MFG Moxon..turn it with a tv rotor. Been up 4 years with never a problem and it talks all over.FYI.

Moxon is nice. One in wire would be less wind drag. Thought about build for that, but we get good wind here just north of Corpus. Didn't figure it would hold up.

In looking at the photos, it appears the feedline does not have to run horizontally away from the antenna for a few feet when it is hung vertically as is the case with a dipole. Is that right?

Just looking for that rotator and seems to have hit unobtainium status. Antennacraft is out of bidness. Ordered the RCA from Amazon. I'm sure it wont impress me.

I have 30' breakover, drillpipe Redbeard Special, reluctant to take my StarBuster off it. May try to mount the quad with the StarBuster on top. Not sure if the later would create interference having the mast higher than the quad beam.

The SE-10MB Moxon costs $284 + Shipping. My MFJ 1890 Moxon costs $89./$14 ship and does not require a ferrite choke balum. Big Difference in the Prices!
