:shock: This radio I finally put back in the mobile and when its keyed SSB or AM the damn thing goes bazerk. It beeps and buszzes and the display shows thee lock and swr flashing on and off on there own and at times I have to push the keypad buttons to get them back off. What in the hell would cause this I dont remember it doing this in the house lastweek when I ran it. I dont know if it hates the van or if the CPU is freaking out or what??? Anyone have any ideas or DTB or Freecell have you guys ever seen this happen with these Ranger radios :?: :?:
 

Would that cause that because I actually thought about that to LMAO this radio has the same battery since new and that was the mid 1990s :lol:

    Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
