I have had this radio for about a year and it slowly started to lose am receive. At this time it was still transmitting fine with good modulation. Now most of the time it has no receive on am . When I key the the microphone it has very
Low rf power on am 3/4 watt with variable turned wide open very low modulation . This problem exists in the am mode only. Radio has full power in all other modes with good modulation. No receive / low rf on tx / very low modulation. AM mode only . I want to keep my old RCI has anyone had this problem? And what is the fix?

    Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
