Maybe this will help someone. I installed a Cobra 25 in a friends Nissan Sentra with a K40 mag mount antenna. Got flat SWR and everything was looking good till we turned on the engine and a terrible noise started. I took the the extra coax (about 2-3 feet) and wound it up in a small coil about 2 inches in dia. put it under the seat and the noise was gone.

Well..........................You know that when you coal up coax like that it causes a choke that can make you SWR go way up if you bucket mouth alot don't you?
