Mobile HF Antennas

Ham fisted lump, the way he just lobbed the gear in the foot well, was it supposed to be a comedy sketch?

Anyway, they were small HF mobile antenna, for a big antenna you need a big mount:

I was very lucky to find one here in the UK, they work out around $1500 to buy here due to shipping and import charges, if I ever find myself in a financial pickle I'll sell an organ before I sell the Scorpion :blink:

In answer to whether they can be painted, I don't see why not, Scorpion themselves sell a matt black version.
 
They work very well, I have talked to several people using them. I am fairly sure if i put one of those on my car my wife would dis-own me.

    Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
