MONSTER QUAD 11M

Hello again to the forum and Happy New Year. I have designed a monster quad using EZNEC 4.0: 6ELEMENT ON 48FT BOOM F/B31.03 ,17.92DBI@60FT, VSWR1.02@ 50.30OHMS(27.025). My concern is with the front/side lobes although they are pointing forward, the gain is 17.46. Would this make a differance in the transmitting or recieving of the antenna?
Give some feedback on the antenna specs also, please? Oh its an optimize 6element quad.

stretch the boom out to 60 feet and have your reflector back more from your driven element. (y)

17.92 dbi from a 6 ele quad thats alot of dbi, good luck man.

This is an old thread but just a note regarding that claim to gain. Notive the free space gain is 12.92 dB. That is the real value of gain and is quite believable. The extra 5 dB making 17.92 dB is from "ground reflection" gain which depends a lot on height above ground as well as the quality of that ground and any tall obstructions that may be blocking that reflected RF. This is how most antenna manufacturers get away with wild claims of gain. they don't tell you it includes ground reflection gain which can add up to 5 dB over the free space gain figures. This is how Antron and the likes can claim up to 9 dB gain from a simple 1/2 wave omnidirectional stick.
