I am selling a radio I built about 4 years ago and that has served me flawlessly for those years.
This 2950 produces a true honest to goodness 600 watts. I used the amplifier off a connex 4300-400 (uses four 2879's) and am driving it with an RFX75 that has been throttled back to 50 watts. The radio has also had an on off switch added to the back of it to turn off the amplifer so it can be used for car to car comms. The radios audio is VERY clean and I get excellent audio reports on AM FM and SSB. The AM carriers with amplifier on are from 15 watts to 140 watts. The radio has two microphones. The original and an astatic noise canceling mic. This is a killer radio and the only reason Im selling it is to upgrade to another TS480HX
The pictures below are from my phone and really bring out the worst in the radio, showing every little blemish. I rate my rigs stingy on the looks scale and this one is a solid 8.5!! Everything works FANTASTICALLY!!!! First $500 gets her shipped to your door insured in the 48
