I have a Motorola TMN6104B mic that I wired up for my Black Hawk. BEAUTIFUL audio!! My problem is that it is a power mic and it went through the 7 volt battery that I installed in it in 3 days. Can I hook this to the 12 volt source that is in the mic plug of this radio? I"m not even sure of the voltage requirment for the audio amp in it anyway. If anyone has this info I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks

OK, here is waht I did. Using the 13.8v source out of the mic plug and 12 diodes soldered in series, I was able to step the voltage down to 8 volts and run the mic that way.

Wow Fasteddy, 12 diodes in series?? That must have been hard to fit in the case. How are things going in CO. I haven't heard you on air lately. Oh well, I haven't heard much of anybody on air lately. Hopefuly skip will come back this fall. See Ya.
