This mic sounds just as nice as it did 47 years ago when it was new. I got this when I bought a brand new Browning Golden Eagle Mark III in 1976. Old equipment never dies, it just gets better with age :)

Beautiful mic. You might want to recap the board. Those electrolytics are pretty long in the tooth. Did my 1980 Silver Eagle. Piece o cake. Definitely improved it.

There's just a smidge of pitting on the base, but that's normal for an almost 50 year old microphone. Thinking of maybe having the base replated, or might just leave it original.
It works just fine at the moment, but it's definitely going to get gone through.

I was just going through my climate controlled storage, and found this mint night K eagle I bought back in 1994. I used it with my Ranger 2995DX for 10 minutes or so before boxing both back up in 2004. Still looking for the 2995. I also have a 60th Anniversary Diamond Eagle stashed in there somewhere :)
