Realize this is a bit late but just thought of it. Enormous disaster relief effort going on in North Carolina being very much headed up by hams and many others. They are using the Mount Mitchell repeater (6,800 ft) 145.190 that has a reach into 5 states. Vicki Carnes, AD3I is doing Yeoman's Work heading up Net Control daily. She deserves the Ham of The Year Award for just what she's done so far.
