If you want information on the audio chip then you need to just type in the chip number in a search engine or maybe see if it crosses in the NTE database. There are thousands of data sheet on the web. I can't recall the audio chip for that particular radio but from the service manual you should be able to check the voltages on the chip. Be careful as those things are easy to blow if you short them out. You will need a good meter so as not to load down the circuit.

That radio does not need a power mic, so purchase a stock "coffin style" mic with a decent cord, like the ones that Astatic uses.
