Need help

here is some literature that might help:

http://www.cbtricks.com/mic_manuals/turner/turner_mic_wiring_book.pdf

http://www.cbtricks.com/mic_manuals/turner/turner_+3_om.pdf

here is a schematic for a radio that is very similar to your radio, and should have the same mic wiring:
http://www.cbtricks.com/radios/lafayette/hb_640/graphics/hb_640_sch.pdf

notice in the schematic that the pins on the DIN connector don't appear to be in numerical order from one side to the other.
look closely at your mic plug and the jack on the radio to see if this is the case in reality.
don't just assume that the one next to pin 1 is pin 2.

from the schematic it would appear that your wiring goes like this
(obviously the turner mic handbook should be used if my info differs from it):

1 audio
2 TX
3 ground
4 audio shield
5 RX

hope this helps,
LC

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
