Hi, y'all! I have gotten one of these radios that has an 11 pin round plug instead of a 6 position Jones plug. None of the manuals I have show a version with round plug and I am having some issues figuring out how to wire it as the schematics don't match 100%.

Does anybody have a schematic denoting this plug or have a radio/power cord they could give me the pinout for?

Thanks and 73,

Justin B.

The schematic for the HB-625A on CBTricks shows the 11 pin connector. Looks like pin 2 is ground and pin 7 is 12v DC in.

I would be surprised if they changed up the wiring with models that close as someone with both radios might get the cords swapped. My approach would be to verify with continuity that pin 2 is in fact ground and then give pin 7 voltage from a supply that can limit the current.

But there's no harm is waiting to see what others know. Chances are, someone here is familiar with that radio.

The only one I've seen (SAMS) has the six pin, so either Lafayette changed plugs during production, or someone else changed it to the round plug. You might be able to wire it by looking at the Schematic.

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
