The sun is starting to respond, thank goodness, but It's anyones guess how good the cycle will be. Some people aren't convenced the new cycle (cycle24) has even started. I would stick with murs or gmrs.

They do have repeaters set down here in the Ozarks. We have what is called Tornado chasers. who operate on various bands including 2-meter.
