Just bought a NEW IN BOX Philippine 29 LTD from 1994!
Cant wait to do a nice tune on this bad boy! Any suggestions for some mild mods?
 

If it were me, I would just do an alignment and turn the modulation up a bit. That way if you ever sold it the next guy would appreciate having a nice all original virgin radio.

Yea it does not need anything special. If you want echo and talkback throw a 2018 Extreme on it after the tune and enjoy.

good tune and you will swing 30-45 PEP

just did one today that dead keys around 12 and swings to around 45 (a little less than 50) PEP

that was on a stock Cobra mic... no power mic, and NO clip n snip on the limited
 
Keep it nice and virgin. The lure of the golden screwdriver is strong but you have to be stronger!!

There are so few older radios out there that haven't been hacked to death.
