Alinco is showing a new Software Defined Radio at the Dayton 2012 Hamvention. The details are sketchy right now, but check out this pic:

Looks like they finally decided to add the pc connection to S/R8 series and use KG-SDR to control it.

Nothing about it on their website that I could find yet. Hope this one makes it
into production! Alinco's prices are really not that bad for basic radios.
