New cobra 29 LTD chrome

This install is in a 2009 pete the radio is new peaked and tuned talk back echo I dont know I think its something im over looking

flip to channel 6 during the day and see if the meter swings. Transducers go bad, even new speakers. I fixed quite a few radios that had bad speakers or mic elements. If you can see RX, try and external speaker.

I have had 2 cobras with bad speakers, One I fixed and sold, the other it aint worth the cost plus shipping. Just keep it around, one day I might find a junk radio for a speaker.

make sure pa switch and all are in the right positions. also does the meter move as if it is receiving. have you tried a external speaker on it.

have you tried another radio to make sure your antennas are good? have you tried to see if someone you know close can hear you getting out. there is so many things that can cause this. hard to try to give you ideas not knowing what you have actually done . sounds as if you had all the mods done to the radio when you bought it. did you have to have it shipped to you or a shop do it local.
a wire could have came loose if shipped .

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
