could buy a whole new old stock d104 for that money ,maybe less.

If they do not package it very, very carefully and the mail guy throws it in the bin on his truck, you just bought a new nothing.
These elements can die just from improper storage, they are very very fragile.
If you want a NEW better replacement, look for RB Micro online, they have a very nice replacement for the D104`s that is not 20+ years old, cost`s about $30 bucks and the element comes pre wired so you do not even have to apply heat to the back of the element..
they even offer a warranty, The Guy on E-Bay spends more time and words saying
If you BUY it YOU bought it to bad so sad sold as is no refund
than he does anything else.
