new icom coming out

i got new dx engineering catalog today.i seen a new icom v 3500.
just a highly modified ic 2300 so it seems. 65 lip burning watts with no cooling fan.
seems odd all the big 3 build high power 2 meter radios with no fan so you cant use that power very long when you need it.
redesigned screen in that hard to see white. i like my 5100 in all ways but the screen. that white gets to my eyes quick. what was wrong with the orange,yellow or green screen?
but wait it cost more n prolly dont have mounting bracket or manual.
mtc has new icom 2300's for sale almost $100 less.
the above is my opinion n views yours might be otherwise

I am a DIEHARD ICOM MAN but I would not own anything with a Touch Screen & I have what I need & if any of it fails I will replace them with USED ICOM radios. I currently have the ICOM 7600 with the ICOM PW-1 amplifier,ICOM 746, ICOM 910H,ICOM 7000,ICOM 4100a,ICOM 2730a,& ICOM ID-51a PLUS 2.None have a touch screen just the way I like them. I am very disappointed in the so called NEW stuff they had at Dayton 2022.The PW-2 is the most of a Disappointment. It's got two more antenna ports & a Touch Screen & it still puts out a Kilowatt just like my PW-1.I will never understand why they did not Upgrade it to a Legal Limit Amplifier? I think someone at ICOM Japan is really Out of Touch with the Amateur Radio world & I don't need or want any Mono Band VHF mobiles for any purpose & the price for them is Crazy Stupid.
