New Member with Emperor Questions

Hello, New member here with a radio queston. I have found a Emporer TS-3010 locally for $50. The way I understand it these things are supposed to be easly modded to work on 10 meter as well. This is a plus to me as I am thinking about going to ham anyway.

Even without the 10 meter aspect is the radio worth it? I was looking at ssb radios anyway. Thanks agian for any input.

It it works OK and for $50, I'd snatch it up.
Dunno much about it, am familiar with the 5010 tho.

Any SSB 10m convertible to 11m radio is a deal for that much money.

Thanks for the info, The radio is claimed to be tuned and peaked. That is my biggest concern, I will try to check it out tomarrow or sat one. I will let you know what comes of it.
