new mod limiters

i have a few hack job radios, cobra and uniden. that had the mod limiter cut/ removed. i would like to replace them but with them not there i have no part numbers no do i know the technical names for the parts, and this means the kid at the eletrical parts house look at with that blank deer in the head lights look..... ugh.... i hate that look.

help please.

1 uniden pc 78, 1 pc 68, 2 cobra 29, 1 cobra 25.

All of those radios use a standard switching diode to limit modulation, so you'll need (5) 1N918/1N4148 switching diodes from the local Radio Scrap. Those will do just fine. Good luck!
