I take it this is going to be for a mobile unit?
I have always liked the Galaxy radio's I have a 88H/L and a Pluto(if you know there quirks, give them warm up time) Not to sure on the newer ones Xcept from what I have read... Not the easiest to channel convert, Unless you are going to stay on the lower 40 only, I have heard a few 959's and they sounded good.... Most Galaxy radio's if "tuned properly" you DO NOT need a power mic with them, get like a RK-56........ I use a Kenwood MC-60 amplification turned off on mine as a base.. and the RK-56 in the mobile:biggrin:

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
