I cant find teh PLL, there arent any large IC's on the top of the board, is it on the solder side, or am I missing something obvious?

also, what kind of power should I expect out of this radio?

it has some type of freq mod done on ch9 button, but I cant tell what freq its on.

is this a common mod, and could someone share a road map with me?

its a nice looking radio, and its good some smooth rx.

thanks for any help!

When looking down in the radio with the front of the radio facing you, it should be in the front left corner of the main pc board and should be a 8719 ic chip.

Hope this helps

May want to check and see if the pll has not been jumped already for extra freq's.

Look on the solder side of that chip and see if there are any wires soldered to it leading usually to a switch/s somewhere.

Take Care

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
