i recently got in to the 4x4 world with some friends and we decided that some communication would be good so we are all getting cb's my current offroader is a 90 s-10 blazer.
this radio when not being used to offroad will be transfered to my daily driver which happens to be a 93 jimmy so basically identical vehicles.
i am looking at a cobra 18wxstII because it seems to be a fairly midrange piece and i have read alot about cobra being a good brand.... is this one worth while (havent seen any info in my searching here),
or should i go ahead with the cobra 29 or one of these other talked about units, ?
also antenna selection, i need some help there, ive read that mag mounts are a pain to get to work decent. this was my initial choice so that i could easily move it from truck to truck.
mounting on the offroader does not concern me (not supposed to be pretty just functional, so im thinkin a 102in on a rear bumper mount), now the daily vehicle i dont want to be too obnoxious looking
any help is greatly appreciated, this forum looks to be a good bunch<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/smile.gif ALT="">
