Newbie!!

2 to 4 watts drive (key down). Radio should swing to 15-20 watts for 150 to 200 watts out..

Was wondering about the 4. I'm sure that's what I about what I was using back in the day. Didn't have a variable power.

Thanks!

I have my radio coming next monday in the mail and I figured I'd snag my buddy's old amp off him, it's a texas star dx500, says it's a talker and kicks ass. So what exactly do I do with it? Or is it too much power for a rig or what? I want to be able to talk long distance and be heard clearly in my truck, maybe around 100-200 miles, just so I can reach my base station when I get that set up so I can talk to the wife when I don't have cell service

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
