ive got a connex 3300hp and ive tried a bunch of different things but no dead key.the radio will modulate but no dead key anyone got an idea?

Just curiosity. Are you using a power mic. I had this happen more than once. The battery in the mic is going dead. I modulation light on the radio with show modulation, but not transmitting anything. After scratching my head and the customary swear words, I realized bad battery in the mic.

no its not a mic it talks fine but it will not have a carrier, on low or hi nothing but it will modulate
First check final then driver. Do you have a way to tell if it is showing any frequency out of the radio?
