This mike is notorious for transmit problems.
Electronic cleaner will sometimes help, but I put a small piece of plastic on top of the "red button" inside to cause the button to make better contact.
I have been using it like this for 6 months +, without a problem. Use a piece of plastic about the same diameter as the "red button" and about 1/16" long. If too long, the mike won't shut off.
