Has anyone ever heard of or seen such? I have acquired one recently. The date code is 0806 and has blue l.e.d.s (factory). I thought that the starlite face was one the the big differences between the DX929 and the DX919? Just wondering. Thanks.

Early models of the 929 had NPN bipolar final transistors (2SC1969) and did NOT have the starlite faceplate.

Later models converted to MOSFET (IRF520) & starlite

Is it possible to be on a lake and have a homing directional beam being emitted from the shore so a person could navigate to that beam's source? For example at night to a jetty.
