Cobra 29 LTD Classic seems the internal speaker was bad. Fixed that. Mic was bad. Fixed that. Hooked up antenna powered up could hear everything and people talking. keyed mic the transmitter lights up but the transmitter needled does not move. Tried saying something but no swing and no one could hear me. Where do I go from hear?

The mic isn't wired correctly. When the mic is wired correctly, speaking into the mic should see some swing on the meter.

Stock Mic Wiring
Pin 1- Shield
Pin 2- white wire = Audio
Pin 3- red wire = Transmit
Pin 4- black wire = Receive

I truly hope you aren't using that 19v power supply you asked about last night.
Don't use it!
You need a power supply that can suppy 13.8 volts/3 amps when transmitting!

no I went over to a friend of mine and got his. He was using it to talk on some of his cb's at his house. it's one of the radio shack's 3 amp and he has been using it for years, In fact his wife was talking on it when I got there and he said just turn it off and take it home with me and try it on mine. He is buying another one tomorrow.

1) - Make sure that it is on 'CB' mode - and not on 'PA'.
2) - It may be the mic.
3) - Make sure the mic gain knob is at least half or three-quarters of the way turned up.
4) - Or the final transistor is burned up.

Take the radio over to your friend's house and hook it up over there to his antenna.
Use another mic - Cobra mic wirings are quite common - they may have one that they know works.
If it doesn't work over there; then the final transistor might be fried...

now this is funny seems the mic was bad had a short in wire somewhere between the plug and mic. Internal speaker was dead. Fixed all the above. Then the meter did not swing. Took over to friend house this morning hooked up to a moonraker 4 tried it out everyone said it sounded great, the only problem was that the little meter in left hand corner does not work. I guess that was what was throwing me off. Thanks for everyone's help.
