Hi there, I believe this is my first post here. I've been looking thru a couple forums, and got the CB bug agin. I had a Cobra 25 give to me, along with a VC 100 voice control. Haven't hooked it up yet, but here's some info - Made by Dynascan Corp, ser#63005142, board is a PC417AF, Final is a C2075. There is a little flat orange " thing " on the bottom side, oppisant the mike plug that soldered to the chassis of the radio, but not the board. Don't know if this is a " mod " or what. I like reading about tuning etc, mainly just to know how things work. Think this would be worth playing with? My other radio's I've collected thru the years are - Pres AX 711, Pres Lincoln, Ranger RG-99, and a Ranger TR696FD1. Someday would like to get my Ham license. Thanks Guys, Al

Is it a little ceramic disc capacitor? Maybe posting a pic would help.

Those little Cobra 25 radios are good little radios. You can have a lot of fun with it.

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
