ok has anybody here ever had it happen to them where a base amp or mobile amp all the sudden you would hear your voice coming out of the box when transmitting ??? well today my cobra 2000 gtl started doing it,while talking barefooted without the amp being on
 

I bought a old amp on fleabay that when on and transmitting would ' buzz' with my voice, it was the ferrite on the output transformers vibrating.
You could put your finger on the ferrite and feel it.
A shot of hot melt across the beads on the transformer stopped it.

    Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
