Oldies but Goodies

HOA rules (trust me, long story) prevent me from having a base antenna, otherwise I'd be using the CP 2000 right now.
Buy an used Chevy Trailblazer, etc. Park in the driveway, Drill the ball mount center roof, put the old school big whip on it. run the coax out the tailgate and your all set to hookup to the house. I am pretty sure the HOA will not let you put a 1978 Chevy Impala up on cider blocks in the back yard, that would by ideal then you could co-phase with ball mounts on the hood and trunk.

Have a bunch of Royce stuff - 624, 625, 641 and 642 plus a couple 639 mobiles. Those are among my favorite mobile rigs.

2ea Pro-40/SPK-40 and one SOC-40. Would love to find an OSC-40 and SWR-40 for it.

2ea CP-2000/BC-2000 - one was bought from a member here and restored. 1 CP-400. I have every accessory for that line except the oscilloscope and am tempted to build my own version.

A TRS Challenger 1400 and a TRS Challenger 1200.

Always keep it legal with regards to type acceptance. If I could have only one radio and this wasn't an issue I'd use my FT-726R w/ HF module. The rig covers 26-30MHz continuous and did so from the factory. No AM, but it will transceive FM in addition to SSB/CW. Very good receiver. 10w out - about what my Stoners will do.
