I bought my equipment at an auction for next to nothing. Paid a commercial two way communications shop to get it back into working condition, put up an antenna and started broadcasting rock and roll to the masses. Or so I thought. I broadcast over a two block radius from my home for about 3 months.

Then I looked into licensing, saw the amount of the fines for getting caught, and how often that happens when you do broadcast on a frequency that nearly everyone has equipment to receive you with, and put the equipment away.

You can't be joe public and get a LPFM license.
